June 1
Cross the Channel via the Tunnel on the 10.28 am Folkestone to Calais/Coquelles train.
Overnight stop at Saran, just south of Paris ( see 4 on map )
June 2 to June 7
Travel to the Dordogne and stay for 5 nights near Sarlat ( 6 ), in the Dordogne at Hotel Le Relais Perigold Noir
June 7 to June 11
Travel to Arreau ( 9 ), in the Haute-Pyrenees & stay 5 nights at Hôtel du Val d'Aure
June 12
Travel to and see the cave paintings at Niaux (12), then onto Carcassone ( 14 ) for 1 night.
June 13
Return north via the new suspension bridge at Millau ( 16 ) see here or Website: Viaduc de Millau
Stop overnight at Vierzon (17).
June 14
Return to the UK. on the 16:06 (local time) Calais/Coquelles to Folkestone train.
Driving distance: Approximately 2000 miles or 3218 kilometers, plus any 'local' touring.
